Local businesses among finalists for the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

TALLAGHT based Buymie and M50 Truck and Van Centre, are represented amongst the finalists in the 2020 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards.
Devan Hughes, founder of grocery delivery platform Buymie, and Antonia Hendron, M50 Truck & Van Centre, are among the 24 entrepreneurs nationwide who will compete for the prestigious awards on November 12.

One overall winner will be selected as The EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2020.
The finalists were shortlisted from more than 100 nominations by an independent judging panel of previous winners, chaired by Anne Heraty, CEO of CPL Resources Plc, and EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006.
Hughes founded Buymie in 2016, a platform which allows users to order grocery and household items from large retailers like Lidl and Tesco, and delivered to their door in as little as an hour, by their very own personal shopper.
Antonia Hendron, M50 Truck & Van Centre, specialises in sales and servicing commercial vehicle repairs. Antonia took over in 2018 and the organisation employs over 100 people. She is also the Vice President of SIMI.

As we begin reopening our economies, our entrepreneurial businesses will be essential to recovery.”
