Long traffic delays in Tallaght this afternoon along the Belgard and Mayberry Road

There are long traffic delays on the Belgard Road in both directions and on the Mayberry Road this afternoon due to ongoing road works in the Tallaght area.

Motorists who regularly use the roads will be well aware of the issues surrounding traffic management.

Echo.ie has been contacted by several people today in relation to the tailbacks, which are said to be stretching down as far as Newlands Cross at times, and back up past the IT Tallaght

There are also long tailbacks along the Mayberry Road, with the stop-go system adding significant time onto journeys.

Motorists are advised to use a different route if possible.
