
Luas services to be withdrawn as Dublin prepares for Ophelia

There will be no Luas services from 12pm as Hurricane Ophelia passes through the capital later today.
The operator announced that services would be curtailed from 10am this morning.

In a statement, Luas said that staff safety was their priority and that service was being pulled for a number of reasons.
It said: “Electricity in the overhead power lines must be turned off and cannot be turned on until a visual inspection is undertaken.”
“A technical exception will be done later this evening.”
It is expected that services will resume as normal from Tuesday morning.
