Man (21) caught with cannabis in Tymon Park

A MAN caught with cannabis by a garda patrol in Tymon Park, was fined €500 at Tallaght District Court.

Michael White (21), Tymonville Road, Tallaght, appeared before court, pleading guilty to Misuse of Drugs Act charges.

The court heard a mobile garda patrol on June 21, 2022, discovered the accused in the woods at Tymon Park and recovered a black bag with cannabis to the value of €100 which Mr White “took full responsibility” for.

Mr White has four previous convictions.

Judge Peter White took into account the accused’s young age, that he hasn’t come to garda attention since, and noted his efforts to gain employment.

However, mindful that this was the defendant’s fourth conviction, Judge White convicted him to a suspended sentence and a fine of 500 with six months to pay.
