
Man (50s) dies in workplace accident in Clondalkin
GARDAI and the Health Safety Authority (HSA) are investigating the death of man (50s) that occurred at a premises in Clondalkin yesterday.
According to gardai, they received a report of a fatal workplace accident at a premises in Clondalkin at around 7.50pm on Thursday, October 5.
A Garda spokesperson said: “One man aged in his 50s was pronounced deceased.
“His body has been removed from the scene and a post-mortem will take place at a later time.
“The coroner has been notified.”
The Garda spokesperson added: “The Health and Safety Authority was notified in respect of this matter and were to attend the scene to conduct an examination.”
When contacted by The Echo, a spokesperson for the HSA confirmed that they are aware of the death of a worker in the Clondalkin area and have launched an investigation.
