Man arrested and woman injured after emergency brake pulled on Luas

One man has been arrested by Gardai this morning following a public order incident on the Luas red line.

According to reports, the man pulled the emergency brake near the Goldenbridge stop, forcing the tram to come to a sudden halt.

Several passengers were sent flying towards the front of the tram, with one woman needing medical attention.

The man who was arrested has been taken to Sundrive Garda station.

Long delays on the line have now eased.
