
Man arrested following alleged assault in Jobstown
A MAN (50s) has been arrested and released without charge, and another man (40s) treated in hospital, following an alleged assault in Jobstown yesterday.
Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault which happened on the Fortunestown Road in Tallaght on Wednesday, February 22.
Occurring at around 12pm, the alleged assault incident resulted in a man in his 40s being treated for non-life-threatening injuries in hospital.
In a statement to The Echo, a Garda spokesperson said: “A man (50s) was arrested in relation to the incident and has since been released without charge, with a file being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
“A man (40s) was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries which are believed to be non life-threatening.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
