Man hospitalised and four arrested following Clondalkin assault

GARDAI have arrested four men following an assault on a man in his twenties at a filling station on the Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin this evening.
The assault happened this evening (Thursday, May 31) at around 7.10pm, with the injured man brought to Tallaght Hospital.
A Garda statement released this evening said: "Gardai have arrested four men, following an assault on a man in his 20s at a filling station on the 9th Lock Road in Clondalkin, on 31st May 2018 at 7.10pm.
"The injured man has been removed to Tallaght Hospital."
The statement continued: “Gardai responded to a call about an assault and arrested four men in their 20s ,in a car, close to the scene.
“The men are detained at Ronanstown and Ballyfermot Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.”
Garda are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Clondalkin Garda Station on 6667600.
