Man remains in Garda custody after incident at Crumlin church
A man remains in Garda custody this morning after he was arrested during an incident at a Crumlin church yesterday evening.
A large Garda presence, including armed officers, and Dublin Fire Brigade were at St Agnes’ Church in Crumlin village for a sustained period of time as negotiations continued in an attempt to talk the man into surrendering himself.

Eventually he was persuaded to stand down and the incident came to a close at around 9pm.
The man can be held for up to 24 hours.
