
Man shot multiple times in afternoon attack in Dublin
A man has been shot multiple times in Dublin this afternoon.
The shooting took place at a petrol station near the Clayton Airport Hotel at around 1:35pm.
It is believed the man was getting out his car when he was approached by a gunman who shot him several times.
In a statement released by Gardai this afternoon, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai in Ballymun are investigating a shooting incident at a service station on the Clonshaugh Rd at approximately 13.35 this afternoon.
“A male in his late 20s received gunshot injuries and has been taken to hospital. A black car was seen leaving the scene.
“Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses or to anyone with information to contact Ballymun Garda Station on 016664400, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
The victim is believed to be a close associate of the Hutch gang who have been involved in an ongoing feud with the Kinahan gang for some time.
