

Men allegedly smashed front windscreen of car and slashed tyres

TWO MEN allegedly smashed the front windscreen of a Volkswagen Jetta in Clondalkin and slashed its tyres, Blanchardstown District Court has heard.
Jason Dunne, aged 30, with an address at Shancastle Park, Clondalkin, and Scott Purdue, aged 20, with an address at Shancastle Drive, Clondalkin, are charged with damaging a Volkswagen Jetta at Shancastle Park on October 13, 2018.
Giving evidence of arrest, charge and caution by certificate for Dunne and Purdue to Judge John King, Sgt Maria Callaghan said the DPP had directed summary disposal.
Sgt Callaghan said the alleged damage came to €300.
Judge King asked what was alleged.
Sgt Callaghan said it will be alleged that Dunne and Purdue smashed the front windscreen of the Jetta with a baseball bat and slashed its tyres.
She said there was a possibility of further charges.
Judge King remanded Dunne and Purdue for four weeks for possible further charges.
