Men caught in possession of €2.3m worth of cannabis get seven years

Two men caught unloading over €2.3 million worth of cannabis in a consignment of frozen chicken have been jailed for seven years, reports Jessica Magee and David O’Sullivan.

Daniel Bowker (40) of Empire Rd, Bolton, United Kingdom and Ibrar Sharif (47) with an address at The Belfry, Kilmainham, were arrested in Dublin three days before Christmas last year.
