Men charged in connection with seizure of €100k worth of cocaine in Saggart

TWO men charged in connection with the seizure of €100,000 worth of cocaine in Saggart last year have had their cases remanded by Blanchardstown Court for service of their book of evidence.

Francis Dunne and Glen Murray appeared before Judge David McHugh.

Dunne, aged 57, with an address at Lealand Drive, Clondalkin and Murray, aged 27, with an address at Pairc Mhuire, Saggart, are charged with simple possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for sale or supply and possession of cocaine for sale or supply with a value of €13,000 or more at Dunnes Stores car park, Saggart, on October 15, 2016.

Dunne is also charged with simple possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine for sale or supply at his address at Lealand Drive on October 15 last.

Murray is also charged with simple possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine for sale or supply at his address at Pairc Mhuire also on October 15 last.

Solicitor for the DPP, Tom Conlon, told Judge McHugh that the book of evidence was not ready.

He asked for a further two weeks for service of the book. Dunne and Murray’s solicitor consented to the application.

Judge McHugh remanded Dunne and Murray on continuing bail for two weeks for service of the book of evidence.
