Francis Worrall, Richard Molloy and Darren O’Brien from Molloy’s Bar & Grill in Tallaght, won the public vote for the Southern Comfort People’s Choice award.

The awards are held to reward excellence across the licensed trade industry.

A team of judges travelled all over Ireland to judge gin and whiskey bars, outside spaces and music venues for their best brew, crafty cocktails and straight-up excellence in customer experience.

The ultimate accolade of Sky Bar of the Year was awarded to Left Bank, Kilkenny.

Guests were transported back to the 1920s, with a prohibition theme featuring a three-piece 1920s band, burlesque and Charleston dancers, while a tasting village showcased a variety of new and well established drinks.

Event Director, Tracey Carney said: “These days the perfect pint does not make the bar – it is a multitude of things from ambience, customer service, to the overall experience. The diversity of categories and the quality of nominations received this year highlights that the licensing trade is thriving in Ireland, with no shortage of fantastic venues to enjoy the perfect tipple.”
