Molly signs for modelling agency
By Aideen O'Flaherty
A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl with Down Syndrome has been signed onto the books of leading Irish modelling agency the Andrea Roche Agency as a commercial model, and has become the first model with the condition to be signed to a modelling agency in the Republic of Ireland.
Little Molly Johnson is no stranger to being on front of the camera, as she is featured in the 2019 Down Syndrome Centre calendar and has done a number of photoshoots.

Molly’s mother Rhona Cullinan, who is originally from Kimmage, told The Echo that the modelling contract came about after Rhona brought Molly to an open day at the Andrea Roche Agency.
“The agency had an ad up for an open day for commercial models, so we went to the open day and we never mentioned Down Syndrome.
“The whole point of doing this is for inclusion – Molly wears the same clothes and plays with the same toys as every other child her age.”
The little girl had already appeared on TV and in newspaper articles before she was signed by the agency last September.
“Molly adores getting her photo taken, she loves the attention,” said Rhona. “I wouldn’t do it if she didn’t want to do it.”
