
Morehampton Foods gets go-ahead for development

PERMISSION has been granted for the demolition of a single-storey entrance building and rear storage area to make way for the development of a two-storey front-entrance building, to include a café and office space, at Morehampton Foods in Cloverhill Industrial Estate, Clondalkin.
The food company lodged an application with South Dublin County Council last March, seeking permission for the demolition works, and the removal of trees to facilitate a vehicular entrance, road and associated site preparation work.

The applicant proposed the development of a 630 sq m two-storey front entrance building, including café and office space with flat roof and building signage, and a 206 sq m. single-storey dispatch fridge with flat roof, level loading dock and canopy with associated plant.
Provision for a roller shutter door and canopy, and pedestrian doors to existing building, an enclosed bin store, the reorganisation of parking to provide 49 total parking spaces, enlargement of the existing side plant enclosure were included in the application.
The council granted permission for the works on August 9.
