Motor showroom set for Liffey Valley Mall

PLANS for the construction of a two-storey motor sales outlet in Clondalkin, have been granted permission by South Dublin County Council.

The Killeen Motor Group submitted the planning application in December, which contain proposals for a motor showroom at a site north of Liffey Valley Motor Mall, off Shancastle Avenue, Clondalkin.

Proposals include a servicing area of 2,939sq.m comprising a motor showroom, service workshop, parts store and customer facilities with office, staff canteen and bathroom on the first floor.

The development also comprises illuminated building signage, 52 staff and customer parking space, including two electric charging bays.

Up to 130 cars will be on display, along with a parts collection and service area, with car wash facility and all associated site works.

Council planners consider the proposed development accords with the policies and objectives of the South Dublin County Council Development Plan.

Conditions include the development to be carried out in its entirety in accordance with the plans in the application.

No development shall take place until the applicant had lodged a number of requirements with the local authority including site layout, construction traffic management plan, proposed new vehicular entrance, landscape plan and drainage/water plans.

The developer shall also pay a financial contribution of €221,370 to the planning authority. The application was granted permission by the council on February 23.
