Multi-storey car park plans for Hermitage Medical Clinic
PLANS for a multi-storey car park and a two-storey extension to the Hermitage Medical Clinic on Old Lucan Road in Palmerstown have been lodged with South Dublin County Council.
The applicant, Torcross Limited, has outlined plans for the two-storey extension to be over an existing three-storey accommodation block totalling 2,700 sq m.
It is proposed that the building will contain 62 in-patient bed spaces, and there are provisions for ancillary hospital facilities including nurses’ stations and storage areas.
The submission includes plans for the existing roof lantern, stainless-steel mast and plant items to be relocated from the present roof to the new raised roof.
Plans to increase the height of the screening panels around the chiller compound on the roof of the lower ground by 1.4 metres also forms part of the application.
It is proposed that the new parapet height of the accommodation will increase from 58.3 metres to 65.265 metres.
In a separate application, Torcross has also applied for permission to develop a four-storey car park to contain eight parking levels, to accommodate a total of 487 car parking spaces.
It is proposed that the 13,667 sq m car park will be located to the south east of the existing hospital building, and will reach a height of approximately 11.2 metres at its highest point.
There are also provisions for all associated site development and landscaping works, including alterations to the existing internal road network.
A decision on both applications is due from the council by September 19.
