Music with life and ‘The Vine’ passion
THE VINE Group in Tallaght are asking the community to help them help others and for volunteers to join their Praising with Music and Song programme.
Last Easter they brought the Living Passion during Holy Week which brought the Living Passion witnesses to live in Tallaght for the week and try give an idea of what it would have been like to be there 2,000 years ago.
This was so successful that the group have been asked to continue with the programme in some form.
The other programmes the group runs are the monthly Movies with Meaning – free films shown with the intention of inspiring people.
The group is non-profit and does not charge for anything that is done, so they rely on fundraising and donations to help them do their work.
All the money raised goes towards helping those less fortunate in our communities.
This Christmas The Vine Group intends to approach local St Vincent de Paul branches to help families that are in difficulty.
To raise funds this year, The Vine Group is launching their Praising with Music and Song programme.
Under this programme, and influenced by other groups, The Vine Group will do occasional performances.
They will also start doing shows and will continue with their Christmas Carol singing.
What The Vine Group is asking for are people to get involved – singers musicians, dancers, actors, public speakers – in short, people who are willing to be contacted whenever the group is planning a fundraising event and help to make a difference.
