Nationwide thunder warning issued for this afternoon and this evening
If you are out and about this afternoon you may want to prepare for some stormy weather.
Met Eireann have issued a nationwide thunder warning for this afternoon and this evening.
Orange Warning: Widespread thundery activity expected this afternoon and evening. Valid on Tue 22-Aug-2017 from 12:00 until 23:00,

The Status Orange warning will result in “widespread thundery activity” throughout the afternoon and evening.
There is also a separate rainfall warning in place for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.
