New €400,000 playground opens in Corkagh Park
THE new €400k playground opened in Corkagh Park over the weekend to a good response from the public.
According to South Dublin County Council, the new playground is based on the heritage of Clondalkin (including Vikings and a high tower).

Renovations and upgrades took place over the past two months and the amenity features lots of new equipment, a variety of swings, slides, ziplines, sand and water play areas, willow huts and plenty of accessible equipment.
Cllr Trevor Gilligan welcomed the creative development, and visited the playground to check out the facilities with his family and kids Chloe (3) and Orla (1) over the weekend.
The council said there was “great excitement” when the fences came down and the reaction of the children and parents has been “brilliant.”
“It’s an early Christmas present for local children who have been amazing during this very difficult year. You may want to bring wellies for the sand and water areas.”
