Nine car-parking spaces is sale agreed for €50,000

NINE car-parking spaces on the Belgard Road in Tallaght are now sale agreed with an asking price of €50,000.
The car-parking spaces, which are located in the forecourt opposite Sweeney’s Garage and near the junction of the Belgard Road and Mayberry Road in Kilnamanagh, went on the market in January.

The site has a lease term of 999 years, which commenced on June 1, 2001, and the car-parking spaces are part of one lot, comprising spaces 58 to 66 inclusive.
Tom Maher of Tom Maher Estate Agents, who are handling the sale of the carparking spaces, told The Echo: “There was considerable interest in these parking spaces, and they’re not too far from the Luas line, which would be an indication of the demand for parking [in that area].
“I would describe this as a once-off situation, as it’s unusual for someone to have surplus car parking spaces.”
Mr Maher added that while there is an “emphasis nowadays” on parking spaces, typically parking spaces that go on the market are internal car-parking spaces.
The site was described in the sale listing as being in a “central location close to the N81, the Naas Road, The N7, M50, and many leading established businesses are located close by, including the Square Shopping Centre.”
