No reports of injuries after blaze in Tallaght

Firefighters battled a blaze at Tuansgate off Belgard Square East, Tallaght on Thursday evening.

The fire broke out around 5pm and involved the rupture of gas cylinders in an outdoor building with timber cladding.

Three fire engines from Tallaght and Dolphins Barn Fire Stations were at the scene, and firefighters had to wear a breathing apparatus as they extinguished the fire.

Crews cooled the gas cylinders and Dublin Fire Brigade had to call in a specialist industry team to make the scene safe.

No injuries were reported, but traffic restrictions were put in place as emergency services dealt with the incident.
