One arrest as gardai seize €170k of cannabis herb
GARDAI seized €170,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb in Clondalkin on Saturday evening and arrested one man.
According to a Garda statement issued, gardai conducted a search of a vehicle in Clondalkin at around 5.30pm on Saturday, May 18.
Gardai said: “During the course of the search, approximately €170,000 of suspected cannabis herb (pending analysis) was seized.
“The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
“One man (aged in his 30s) was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda station in Dublin.”
Investigations are ongoing, gardai said.
