Peamount U14s collect second trophy and secure SFAI Cup title
PEAMOUNT United’s U14s collected their second trophy in the space of a week when they claimed the SFAI All-Ireland crown on Saturday.
The Newcastle side turned on the style with two goals in each half to see off a strong Bohemians outfit at Jackson Park.
Having won the Molly O’Toole Cup a week earlier, the Peamount side continued their good run of form with Grace Thomas opening the scoring after a good run down the right from Sarah Reynolds rounded of a good move.
Sophie Hardy doubled the lead before the interval when she hammered home a half volley after another fine move.
There was no let up in the scoring in the second half when Player of the Match Bella Talloti scored the goal of the match from distance with a cracking effort from near the half way line to the roof of the net.
The goal scoring was wrapped up when Sophie Featherson found the range after a good move to complete the rout and finish of a good performance.
The side are still not finished this season as they are still in the shake up in the league with title chasers Kilnamanagh while they take on Bohemians again in the Regional Cup final on May 28.
