‘Petrified’ chihuahua rescued from car engine is looking for her owner
By Mark Keane
A “petrified” chihuahua was rescued from a car engine at Esker Church in Lucan yesterday, and is looking to be reunited with its owner.
Speaking to The Echo, local resident Damien Clinton said he called the DSPCA for help after the terrified little dog got stuck in his car engine at around 2pm on Monday.

Even with the promise of food and water, the dog, according to Mr Clinton, was too terrified to make her way out of the engine.
The DSPCA, which is now caring for the little dog, has described the female chihuahua, who is not chipped, as being “extremely nervous and petrified”.
Unfortunately, the chihuahua has no sort of identification, nor any identifiable marks.
Anybody with information that can help return this little chihuahua to her owner is encouraged to call the DSPCA on 4994702.
