Phone companies should ‘step up to the mark’ to address issue
THE scale of fraudulent phone calls and texts should see phone companies “step up to the mark” to address a problem that is “going to get worse”, according to a local councillor.
Speaking at the JPC Policing meeting, Justin Sinnott (SocDems) enquired if there is any interaction between gardai and phone companies to tackle fraud phone calls and messages.
