By Aideen O'Flaherty
CITYWEST Homes Developments Ltd has been granted planning permission for two separate residential developments in Citywest, one to contain 78 dwellings on Fortunestown Lane and the other to contain 52 houses in Magna Park.
Plans for the Fortunestown Lane development include the construction of 58 two-storey houses, comprised of two three-bed detached houses, 56 three-bed terraced houses, and 20 one- and two-bed apartments to be housed in a four-storey block.
In relation to the Magna Park site, the developer submitted plans for the construction of 52 two-storey three- and four-bedroom houses, to be a mixture of semi-detached and terraced dwellings.
South Dublin County Council granted permission for the two developments this month, with a number of conditions.
In its decision relating to the Fortunestown Lane development, the council’s conditions for the grant of permission include the submission of revised plans to include the conversion of one of the residential units into a community floorspace area.
For the Magna Park development, the council also outlined a number of conditions as part of their grant of permission.
These conditions include the submission of a revised layout plan concerning the roads in the proposed development, and a comprehensive and detailed layout plan in relation to play facilities, to include provision for a climbing frame, also to be submitted.
