Plans lodged for 58 houses and 20 apartments on Fortunestown Lane
PLANS for a residential development on Fortunestown Lane in Citywest, to consist of 78 dwellings which will be a mix of houses and apartments, have been lodged with South Dublin County Council.
Applicant Citywest Homes Development Ltd has outlined plans for the development to contain 56 three-bed terraced houses, two three-bed detached houses, and 20 one- and two-bed apartments to be housed in a four-storey building.
There are provisions for all associated site development and infrastructural works, car and bicycle parking, an ESB sub-station, open spaces and landscaping.
It is proposed that access to the development, on a site area of 2,27 hectares, will be provided by two vehicular entrances, by the creation of a new entrance from Citywest Road and an extension to an existing entrance from Fortunestown Lane.
The subject site is bounded to the north by Fortunestown Lane, to the west by the N82 Citywest Road, and Scoil Aoife Community National School to the east.
The applicant previously secured planning permission for the council in 2016 for the development of 112 houses at a site at junction of Citywest Road and Garter Avenue in Citywest.
South Dublin County Council has not yet made a decision on Citywest Homes Development Ltd’s current application.
