Power restored to almost 400 homes in Ballyfermot

Power has this afternoon been restored to almost 400 homes in Ballyfermot.

A fire at a sub station near Blackditch Road around 6:30pm yesterday evening resulted in residence in the area being left without power through the night.

Two units from Dublin Fire Brigade tended to the blaze, and once it was extinguished engineers began working on restoring power.

ESB Networks have confirmed that all customers who were affected have now been reconnected.

They said: “Customers in the Ballyfermot area have now had their power restored following last nights fire in our sub station. Apologies for the outage.”
