Scoil Aonghusa granted permission for extension

SCOIL Aonghusa senior national school in Balrothery has been given planning permission for a new 200 sqm, single-storey extension to its existing building.

South Dublin County Council has granted permission to the school’s Board of Management for an extension to the south-east elevation of the primary school, which will house one classroom, four resource rooms with ancillary spaces, toilet facilities and associated site works.

According to the council, which did seek additional information surrounding the issue of water: “It is considered that the proposed development accords with the policies and objectives of South Dublin County Council as set out in the South Dublin County Council Development Plan 2010 – 2016 and subject to the conditions set out….in accordance with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area.”

Some of the conditions include, the minimisation of air blown dust, times for the use of machinery and equipment and compliance with the specifications around the laying of water mains and drinking water supply.
