Raising funds to support a cause that touches so many families

ON Friday morning, on the feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian, following mass in St Kilian’s Church, Kingswood, the parish Hospitality Team hosted a Coffee Morning in support of Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross.

The Coffee Morning is part of the annual nationwide Hospice Coffee Morning campaign, which raises vital funds for hospice and palliative care services across Ireland. Our Lady’s Hospice, with its main site at Harold’s Cross, is especially well known to families throughout South Dublin.

The parish community of St Kevin and St Kilian gathered to enjoy coffee, tea, and homemade baking, while also showing their support for the hospice’s work with patients and families.

Speaking after the event, parish priest Fr Frank Drescher expressed gratitude to the Hospitality Team and all who attended: ‘Today’s Coffee Morning was a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, share friendship, and support a cause that touches so many families. We are deeply grateful to Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services for the care they provide, and we are glad to contribute in this small way to their work.’

Proceeds from the event will go directly to Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services to support their ongoing mission of providing specialist care and compassion to patients and their families.
