Residents concerned at number of IPAS Centres

RESEARCH compiled by residents in Clondalkin over the last 12 months reveals the vast majority have concerns about the level of IPAS (International Protection Accommodation Services) centres in the area.

It was prompted by the 2022 government decision to use the SIAC building on Monastery Road as an IPAS centre, which initially saw 187 single males accommodated there, before the site was upgraded and fenced off, and now houses up to 400 men.
