Residents donate shoebox gifts for Team HOPE appeal
RESIDENTS of a Clondalkin estate came together to donate shoebox gifts for the Team HOPE Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
Residents of Newlands Estate in Clondalkin handed over their shoeboxes on Saturday, November 6 which will go to Peamount Hospital and then be passed on to children affected by poverty across the world through the HOPE shoebox appeal.
“Not many schools are doing it now because of Covid, so I decided to put it out there on our WhatsApp group and got a great response,” said Annette Brown, one of the residents.
“I had done it over the years and when I saw it advertised this year, I thought to myself I haven’t done that in years because of Covid.
“It is nice that we can still do it ourselves this year. There were at least 20 boxes that went into the car which will be brought to the warehouse in Peamount and then passed on.”
