Residents including 97-year-old woman hold ‘peaceful protest’
RESIDENTS stopped builders from entering their green space in a “peaceful protest” in Ballyboden. On Monday, November 4, around 50 people from Pearse Brothers Park, Palmer Park and Glenmore Park estates gathered from 7am onwards in their shared green area.
They prevented Cleary Doyle Construction builders to deliver their first containers for new age-friendly housing to be developed on site. Some residents parked their cars around the green to make access for the builders practically impossible.
