Retail unit in Rathcoole village sells for €132k over asking price

A RETAIL unit in Rathcoole Village sold for €132,000 over the asking price of €145,000 at auction last week, having attracted over 100 bids.

The unit, which is located on Rathcoole’s Main Street, went under the hammer at an online BidX1 commercial auction last week, and over the course of the three hour-long auction the property attracted 116 bids before ultimately being sold for €277,000.

The ground floor unit extends to approximately 167 sq. m and it was sold with vacant possession, making it an ideal property for a prospective business owner.

The property is arranged over ground floor only to provide a retail unit, and it forms part of a wider mixed use development, with the Bank of Ireland, Paddy Power and The Rathcoole Inn listed as surrounding occupiers. The unit is situated close to Main Street’s junction with Stoney Park, and it benefits from numerous transport links including M50 motorway and the N7 Naas Road.
