
Road users urged to be vigilant as low temperature warning issued
THE cold weather is set to continue with temperatures expected to drop to -5 degrees overnight.
Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature/Ice warning for the country, which will be in effect from 9pm tonight until 10am tomorrow.
According to the national forecaster, sharp to severe frosts over the coming days, icy patches and dense fog at times could lead to dangerous travelling conditions.
The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has today issued advice for people travelling over the coming days, reminding all motorists to slow down and watch out for vulnerable road users.
