Roadworks on the Old Bawn/N81 junction led to congestion and some less than pleased motorists
ROAD works in Tallaght this week on the Old Bawn/N81 junction led to traffic congestion and some less than pleased motorists.
However, South Dublin County Council say the works on the Old Bawn /N81 junction are “essential maintenance works.” A SDCC spokesperson told The Echo: “These have been planned to coincide with mid-term break, when traffic levels are normally lower. The works will be completed on October 31. SDCC apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
One disgruntled driver queried “why should these road works take place at day and not at night when there is no traffic around?”
Meanwhile, there has also been works taking place this week on Ballymount Road Lower, which has led to slight delays for traffic.
