Runamuck for Freddie raises over €1,000

A TEAM of boxers and parents from Jobstown Boxing Club were fighting fit last week when they went up against the Runamuck challenge in aid of a five-month-old baby boy who needs life changing treatment.

Some 22 members of the local club took on the challenge in aid of little Jobstown resident Freddie Dunne, who is traveling to Manchester later this month for life-changing treatment.

Funds for Freddie Runamuck

Amanda Spencer, Head Coach of Jobstown Boxing Club, told The Echo that over €1,000 was raised by the Runamuck team, which also won the accolade of “Best Team of the Day” for their energy, positivity and for keeping the crowds entertained with their singing and dancing.

Amanda, who won the Queen Cup of Runamuck, told The Echo: “We had a great day, it was brilliant, and we’re delighted that we were able to raise some money towards a local family and little Freddie.”
