Sacred Heart are boxing clever

SACRED Heart Boxing Club competed in 2024 Schools and Junior Dublin Championship competitions which took place in the Ringside club at the National Stadium throughout the month of February.

The Killinarden club had a very successful championships coming away with eight champions and one runner-up from a total of 10 entrants.

“These results are testament to the hard work and dedication put in by our young boxers and our volunteer coaches,” said Sacred Heart Head Coach Tommy Hanrahan.

The eight champions included Jayden Wall, Jack Jones, Harley Salinger, Abbey Molloy, Keane Lynch, Kayden McGuire, Cian Mahon and Jay Jay Rondala.

They now qualify for the All-Ireland Championships in March and April while Tyler Moore also qualifies as she was a runner-up in last years All-Ireland and automatically qualifies.

The club have a strong nine-team going forward hoping for national title success.

Included also is three-time national champion Abbey Molloy, two time national champion Harley Salinger and last year’s national champion Tyler Moore.
