
Sacred Heart secure FAI Club Mark Award
IT WAS a day to remember for Sacred Heart Football Club after they were awarded the FAI Club Mark Award.
The Killinarden club were presented with their award by FAl Development Officer for South Dublin Robbie DeCourcy during the half time interval between Airtricity League champions Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk.
The club was treated to a match day experience hosted by Shamrock Rovers, with a stadium tour for the academy kids followed by a training session and a special meet and greet with Rovers players before kick-off.
Sacred Heart’s U10 team also played at half time during the League of Ireland match.
The club also announced on the night that Stephen Donnelly was named our Club Man of the Year for his dedication and hard work over the past year.
“A huge thank you to Shamrock Rovers for hosting us and making over 300 of our members feel so welcome,” a club official told The Echo.
“The club went above and beyond. The kids were then treated to some face painting after the training session with Customised Paintings kindly doing it for free of charge.
