Scoil Treasa organising staff and students reunion
By Aideen O'Flaherty
STAFF and students who were in Scoil Treasa in Firhouse during the 80s are invited to attend a school reunion in St Anne’s GAA Club in Bohernabreena on Saturday, October 20 at 9pm.
Students who either started or finished school in Scoil Treasa in the 1980s are welcome to attend the event, where there will be live music and finger food provided.

John McGrane, who is organising the reunion, told The Echo: “This is an open invitation to past pupils and teachers who attended Scoil Treasa in the 80s.
“The reunion will be a chance to meet, shake hands and get to know each other.
“People can just show up on the night – there’s no cost – you can just turn up and see who you know.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve all said hello to each other, as a lot of people have lost touch or moved away from the area.”

Scoil Treasa opened in 1977, and John has fond memories of his time spent in the school.
“Scoil Treasa is a great school,” said John.
“When I started there were only one or two classes in front of us.
“I’ve nothing but good memories of my time in school. The teachers were great, and my own daughter went to Scoil Treasa too.”
