Scooby sniffs out more than snacks at Dublin Airport to uncover cannabis worth €160,000

Revenue officers at Dublin airport have seized €160,000 worth of cannabis today – with the help of ‘Scooby’, a detector dog who is trained to sniff out illegal drugs.

The cannabis was contained in a shipment from Spain.

In total, officers and ‘Scooby’ uncovered 8kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €160,000.

Investigations are continuing with a view to prosecution, according to Revenue.
