Tallaght and District Credit Union Ltd was founded almost 50 years ago by the Prior of the Dominican Father. Father Paul Hynes who appointed father Pauix Doherty to get volunteers to set up a Credit Union for Tallaght and surrounding area, and since its inception in autumn 1968 it has got bigger and stronger every year
