Six arrested during searches in Clondalkin, Lucan, Palmerstown and Balgaddy

As part of an initiative under Operation Thor Gardaí from the Lucan Garda District carried out an operation in Clondalkin, Palmerstown, Lucan and Balgaddy yesterday (Thursday 18th February).

Six houses were searched and the following items were recovered by Gardaí :

A KTM Motorcycle (believed to be stolen)

Substantial quantity of cash.

Firearm components comprising of 9mm magazines, a telescopic sight and a large quantity of ammunition (in excess of 50 rounds) 

Six males were arrested in total, a number of these arrests were on foot of existing warrants issued by the courts. One male was arrested under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939 for an offence under the firearms act. He remains in custody at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Investigations are continuing.
