
Six rescued from house fire in Tallaght
FIRST responders rescued six people, including three children from a house fire in Tallaght in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident of “criminal damage” in the Glenshane area at around 2:55am.
An emergency ambulance crew from Tallaght fire station were first on the scene.
Three children were rescued by the emergency crew from a back window at the property.
Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted: “Firefighter/paramedics responded to a house fire in Tallaght last night. An emergency ambulance crew from Tallaght fire station, on scene first, rescued three children from a back window while three adults were led to safety by firefighters.”
A Garda spokesman said officers have launched an investigation into the fire.
“Gardai attended an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred at approximately 2:55am today, January 19, to a residential premises in Tallaght.”
