Stardust fire campaign
AS PART of the campaign seeking a fresh inquest into the 1981 Stardust fire, families and supporters will be in Tallaght this Saturday, July 28.
Some 48 young people lost their lives in the fire at the Stardust nightclub in Artane on February 14, 1981.

The visit to Tallaght is part of a nationwide campaign to encourage support and obtain postcard signatures, which will be sent to the Attorney General in support of a fresh inquest.
Sinn Féin Dublin MEP, Lynn Boylan, who is a Kilnamanagh native, said: “There is huge amount of public and political support for the families of the Stardust campaign in this area.
“Signing the postcard is a tangible way that people can show their support, so I would urge all local communities to get involved.
“The postcard calls on the Attorney General to exercise his right under Section 24 of the Coroners Act 1962 to grant a fresh inquest as soon as possible.”
She added: “This is a campaign which needs cross-political support so the families can get justice.”
A stall will be based in Tallaght this Saturday, July 28 from 11am to 1pm (at the pedestrian crossing outside The Square, at cinema, and across from Aussie Outback).
