Street drugs can cause addiction and overdoses

Traces of synthetic opioids that could quickly cause an overdose were found in anxiolytic tablets sold across Tallaght.

The findings come from a powerful collaboration between TUD Tallaght students and the Jobstown Assisting Drug Dependency (JADD) service who provided the campus’ labs with real-world street tablets brought in by service users.
