SOUTH Dublin County Council is now accepting submissions on their plans for a Celbridge Link Road in Adamstown, Lucan as part of the Part 8 Public Consultation stage of the plans.

There are plans for the road to be a two-way single carriageway, which will link the Adamstown SDZ lands to the Celbridge Road, covering a distance of approximately 810 metres in length.

There are provisions for new footpaths and cycle tracks in both directions of the road, and there are plans for a new signalised junction where the proposed Celbridge Link Road meets the Celbridge Road.

A new uncontrolled T-junction where the proposed link road meets Tubber Lane is also included in the plans, as is a new vehicular cul-de-sac with turning facilities on Tubber Lane on the eastern side of the proposed road.

There are plans for the construction of boundary treatments and appropriate landscaping works and public lighting, and an environmental report has been prepared in respect of the proposed development.

It is also noted in their public notice that the proposed road scheme has undergone appropriate assessment screening under the Habitats Directive, and it has been determined that an Appropriate Assessment is not required.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development are now available for inspection at the following locations: South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght; Tallaght Library and Lucan Library.

Submissions and observations on the proposed Celbridge Link Road can be made online and in writing to the addresses below until February 28, online at https://consult.sdublincoco.ie or via post to the Senior Executive Officer, Forward Planning Section, Land Use, Planning and Transportation, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Submission can only be made through one medium, and submissions and observations should state the name, address, and, where relevant, the details of any organisation, community group or company which you represent.
