Suspect device incident in Crumlin declared a hoax by Gardai

An incident in relation to reports of a suspect device in the Crumlin yesterday morning has been declared to be a hoax by Gardai.

Officers attended the scene on Lismore Road at approximately 9am on Sunday morning.

The area was closed off and the army’s EOD team were called in.

After an investigation the matter was brought to a close and the roads in the area were reopened.

In a statement released to Echo.ie a Garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
